Original Compositions and Sheet Music
I also earned a bachelor of fine arts in music from the University of Minnesota, Morris. Subsequently, I served as the musical director and composer for an animation company in Arizona. Below are a few original compositions I wrote. I am making these works freely available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License, which means you may copy, perform, share, record, adapt, and redistribute them, including commercially, as long as you give appropriate credit.
Louis' Funky Trumpet
Louis’ Funky Trumpet was originally written to accompany an episode in an animated television series called ScatNip, about three cats and a dog (which never ultimately got produced). They were international spies by day, but jazz musicians by night (the dog played the drums). In this particular episode, they were breaking into a top-secret facility. They approached by helicopter, dressed in black, lowering themselves down via a rope. They then snuck around a building, trying to avoid the guards. The sound of Louis’ Funky Trumpet is the sound of the cats sneaking around the building, occasionally needing to run as they nearly get caught. Louis, in the title, is Louis Armstrong. Included in the zip file is an arrangement for a band. It's my first band arrangement, so any suggestions would be welcome.

TadPool Theme Song
This is a Calypso style song written for a Red Cross water safety program. It was written during the nineties, intended to be the theme music for a series of animated public service announcements in Arizona. The spokesman was to be an animated lizard named Tadpool.

An Early 21st Century Outing
This is an esoteric piece written for a piano and one or two voices. The lyrics were written by a friend of mine. Beginning in quiet awe of nature’s beauty and hidden mathematics, the piece unfolds into a whimsical confrontation with a voice of radical skepticism. The result is a poignant meditation on how easily wonder can be undone—and how deeply we feel its loss.

Never Till Now
"Never Till Now I Knew Love's Smart" is a traditional tune originating somewhere in the mid-seventeen hundreds in London. As far as I know, mine is the only choral arrangement. The lyrics reflect the passions of young love, and are therefore rather saccharin.

Root Cellar
The Root Cellar is based on a poem a friend of mine wrote. The music is an original composition for a choir. It's an esoteric, discordant, heavy piece about existence.

Initiatory
This is my first orchestral piece. It was written in the mid-nineties, and performed/debuted by the orchestral society at the University of Minnesota, Morris. Parts for the orchestra are included in the zip file.
